What's new
The newest version is first. Open Help in your dashboard any time to see which version you are on.
Workflows (Business plan): follow-ups that run by themselves. Choose what starts one, such as a new lead, a quote being sent, an invoice being paid or becoming overdue, or a client being added. Then add steps: wait a few days (only during working hours if you like), check something with an if / else, then send one of your emails, add a task or follow-up, tag a lead, move it to another stage, tell someone on your team, or remind yourself to call or WhatsApp. Start from six ready-made recipes, see exactly what happened to every person in the run history, and try a workflow with a sample first, without sending anything. A workflow can stop by itself, for example when a quote is accepted or an invoice is paid. Your existing quote reminders, review requests, overdue reminders and lead rules keep working as before.
A new Reputation page under Marketing. See who is ready to be asked for a Google review after paying, ask them with one press by email or on WhatsApp, and see who was asked and who tapped the link. The wording, the Google link and the automatic switch are all one click away.
Campaigns: build your own group of clients or leads with up to four conditions, such as paid in total more than R 20 000 and last invoiced more than 180 days ago. A Check how many people button shows the number before you send.
A new Emails area under Marketing. Design your own emails with a visual editor: add text, pictures, buttons and a details box, see a live preview, and send yourself a test. Your lead follow-up emails moved here and every automatic email is in one list that you can switch on or off. On the Growth plan and above you can send one email to a group of clients, such as a we-miss-you note, from your own email account. Everyone gets an Unsubscribe link and you see how many were sent and how many tapped a link.
Connect your own email: choose Google Workspace or Gmail, Microsoft 365, Brevo, Mailgun, Amazon SES or any other email server in Settings, Email sending. Your quotes, invoices and reminders are then sent through your own email, which helps them reach the inbox instead of spam. The page sends a test and checks your domain in plain words.
Quote reminders and review requests are easier to find: a one-time suggestion appears on a sent quote and on a paid invoice, the bell tells you when a quote has had no reply for a few days, and Help has new answers.
Quote reminders: an unanswered quote gets up to two friendly emails and they stop as soon as the client replies (Growth plan and above). A pop-up tells you when a client opens a quote. Quotes are now sent as a link instead of an attachment, so you can see when they are opened, and the page has a Download PDF button. Review requests: after an invoice is paid in full, your client is asked for a Google review. A client who accepts a quote with a deposit can pay the deposit straight away.
The menu is grouped into four sections: Sales, Accounting, Marketing and Business. Pages that are not part of your plan show a padlock.
Support: log a ticket from your dashboard, add a screenshot and follow every reply. Our support team always asks your permission before opening your dashboard. You get a prompt on your screen and an email, you choose to allow it, you can end it at any time, and you get a summary of what was done afterwards.
WhatsApp and Email are always at the top of every quote, invoice and statement. WhatsApp now works on drafts, the lists have quick send buttons, and the editor has Save & WhatsApp and Save & email.
The Undo conversion button now sits on the quote, next to View invoice, and only the owner sees it.
Only the owner can undo a quote conversion or change a quote that was accepted or declined.
A quote marked accepted or declined by mistake now has a Back to sent button.
If a quote is converted into an invoice by mistake, you can now undo it from the invoice. The Convert button also asks first and names the client.
A "What's new" list in the bell, and popups and banners for news, updates and important notices.
A VAT 201 layout on the VAT summary, with a PDF, and a read-only login for your accountant.
Deposits and discounts are now available on every plan.
Pay by card and renew automatically: choose it on your invoice and your card is charged on each due date until you stop it.
Emails from us carry the Simple Quotes and Invoices logo and a clear button.
Online payment fees are added to your expenses automatically.
WhatsApp buttons use the official WhatsApp mark.
The pay panel sits in the bottom right corner of the invoice.
New pay panel on invoices: one big Pay button with the amount and the payment logos.
Earlier versions were the first releases and behind-the-scenes improvements.
